While Corona is coming back around and has been slowing down most companies for months, there is still progress being made. Headphones-speaker producer BUOQ has begun working with Danish accelerators Accelerace and SoundHUB as well as with sound-startup audibleREALITY from the US.
Accelerace and SoundHUB Denmark are specialised in audio development, which is the perfect fit for headphones-startup BUOQ. The accelerators, which are based in Copenhagen and Struer, have decades of experience in the audio industry as well as in supporting young startups. No wonder, the programs have access to the testing and production facilities from audio-producing giant Bang & Olufsen.
“We are incredibly thankful for this opportunity and are looking forward to working with Accelerace and SoundHUB. Their experience and expertise in the audio industry are unmatched and of highest value for our startup. It is simply amazing that retired Bang & Olufsen experts themselves support upcoming audio startups through these institutions”, says BUOQ-CEO Enoc Armengol.
BUOQ got accepted into the Danish programs in September of this year and is going to start intense collaboration in October. If Corona allows, part of the BUOQ-Team will travel to Struer to work on site. If not, collaboration will run remotely until working in Struer becomes possible again.
Further did BUOQ begin working with US-startup audibleREALITY as lately announced on Forbes. AudibleREALITY offers so called audio- “vibes” through its app, by which customers can easily adjust the sound of their music according to pre-arranged settings. The app can be used not only by music-lovers for augmented listening but also by artists themselves, for creating their own personalized vibes.
The two brands have started collaboration in September. Before Christmas, it is planned to create exclusive vibes adapted to the BUOQ headphones physical attributes to create a unique sound experience when combining both.
Matt Boerum, CEO of audibleREALITY states: “We are excited to work together with BUOQ. Both of us are aspiring, up-coming startups in the audio industry and we can benefit greatly from each other’s offers and support”.
